Wayne State\'s history department will serve on an advisory council for the Detroit Historical Museum, along with Michigan State University's history department, the University of Michigan\'s museum studies department and The Henry Ford. The museum, which will no longer be funded by the city of Detroit, is now operated by the Detroit Historical Society.
